Not all great ideas come from classical muses.
As an architecture student, I learned while touring the Skidmore, Owings & Merrill offices in Chicago that the inspiration for design of the Sears Tower (now officially known as the Willis Tower) was a common pack of cigarettes.
Likewise, a discarded automotive fuse – litter on a sidewalk – inspired by extension the world of Ponderoku.
It wasn’t until about six or seven years ago – almost 30 years after reaching down to pick up that roughed up, red object – that any further thought went into how the fuse translated into a spacecraft. These were the first sketches, done appropriately during a relaxing Christmas break, diving into the nitty-gritty of what was christened the Autofusion 40.

Look for more detailed drawings and/or models of this craft as well as the planet of Ponderoku as this journey continues.
